Programs

Interoception

The interoception program is offered both through Sonder Therapy and in collaboration with the Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association's animal-assisted therapy program. Interoception is the sense that gives you awareness of your body's internal states, like hunger, thirst, heart rate, temperature, pain, and emotions. It involves sensing, interpreting, and integrating signals from within the body to help you understand how you feel, regulate your body's needs, and influence your emotions and behaviors. This "hidden sense" is a learned ability that can vary from person to person and is crucial for self-regulation, mental health, and overall well-being.

ALERT program for Self-Regulation (R)

This program helps a child understand their own body's energy states. The primary focus is to teach children how to change their level of alertness to match the demands of a task. Through this program, we explore a variety of sensori-motor strategies to build a toolbox of regulation tools.

Intensive Supports (coming 2026)

This intensive therapy program is designed to provide children with focused and structured support to build emotional regulation, life, and learning skills, communication, and self-advocacy.
